A maioria dos estudos e pesquisas realizados na área da Educação Matemática parte do pressuposto de que esta disciplina é efetivamente central. Nesse sentido, um insucesso em Matemática significaria um fracasso não apenas na vida escolar, mas na própria condição de cidadão do indivíduo. A matemática é uma ciência viva, não apenas no cotidiano do cidadão, mas também nas diversas áreas de pesquisas, tendo um conhecimento universal e dinâmico que pode ser percebido, explicado, reconhecendo que cada aluno possui a sua forma de aprender matemática, até então considerada como uma “coisa de outro mundo”. &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; margin-bottom: 0cm; text-align: justify; text-indent: 1cm;"&gt;&lt;span style="line-height: 150%;"&gt;&lt;span style="color: #b45f06;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: &amp;quot;Trebuchet MS&amp;quot;, sans-serif;"&gt;Porém, as novas concepções do ensino da matemática buscam superar esta visão tradicional. A fim de elaborar e analisar, com os próprios professores, estratégias para superarmos as nossas dificuldades neste ensino, embasados em estudos teóricos. Assim, para resolver problemas, é preciso desenvolver determinadas estratégias, que na maioria das vezes, se aplicam a um grande número de situações. Além do mais, o mundo exige pessoas ativas e participativas, que deverão tomar decisões rápidas e, tanto quanto possível, precisas. Com este conjunto de elementos, o aluno precisa encontrar oportunidades para o uso dos vários recursos tecnológicos que podem intermediar a aprendizagem e a construção de novos conhecimentos.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #783f04; font-family: &amp;quot;Trebuchet MS&amp;quot;, sans-serif;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Ter a pretensão de ensinar tudo a todos não encontra eco numa realidade globalizada, em rápida transformação, na qual a produção e veiculação de informação ganharam uma dinâmica há algumas décadas.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #783f04; font-family: &amp;quot;Trebuchet MS&amp;quot;, sans-serif;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Para o educador, compreender esses processos de mudança tornou-se urgente. Como inserir em seu trabalho docente ferramentas tecnológicas se a estrutura para essa inserção ainda é tímida?
